Today in Connected Consumer

Back in 2007, Roku was a digital radio company and on the precipice of going out of business.  But Anthony Wood, founder (the guy invented the DVR!) decided to launch the Netflix player nd they’ve never looked back. Now the Roku2 is out and the company is expanding its sites even further by looking at casual gaming. The Roku gaming remote, which works with each of the three Roku2 boxes, comes with the high end device and was made available this week as an accessory purchase for the other two SKUs. It will be interesting to see how aggressive Roku is in gaming going forward.
